Design utility distribution systems with SPIDAcalc and BC Hydro standards in a hybrid Senior Electrical Distribution Engineer position in New Westminster, BC. Actalent seeks a Senior Distribution Engineer to lead overhead and underground electrical infrastructure design. You will provide technical leadership, oversee projects, review peer work, and mentor designers and Engineers-in-Training. The consulting environment involves multidisciplinary collaboration and multiple stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design overhead infrastructure primarily and underground systems secondarily
- Analyze pole designs using SPIDAcalc and PLS-CADD
- Prepare comprehensive utility design and construction packages

Requirements:
- Canadian-accredited engineering degree or recognized equivalent
- Current Canadian Professional Engineer designation
- At least eight years designing BC Hydro distribution projects
- Experience with overhead and underground electrical design
- Proficiency with AutoCAD, MS Office, and pole analysis tools
