Manage cash flow, compliance, and financial controls onsite for Regent Christian Academy Society's growing faith-based school community.
This full-time Accounting Manager contract provides 18 months of maternity leave coverage beginning January 2027. Based at the Sullivan Campus, the position manages day-to-day accounting, forecasts seasonal cash needs, monitors banking activity, and supports statutory reporting. The successful candidate brings CPA standing or advanced CPA PEP progress, progressive accounting experience, and judgment with confidential information. Experience with Canadian payroll compliance, staff supervision, and not-for-profit entities is preferred.
The work supports financial transparency across Regent Christian Academy Society's campus schools, online school, early learning programs, and related entities. Advanced Excel, ERP experience, and full balance sheet reconciliation skills are central to the assignment. The role also strengthens approval workflows, segregation of duties, and privacy practices while supporting finance leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain rolling and annual monthly cash flow forecasts
- Monitor bank balances, operating lines, and loan covenants
- File GST/PST, source deductions, T4s, T4As, and T3010
- Strengthen controls, approval workflows, and segregation of duties
- Supervise accounts payable, receivables, tuition billing, and payroll processing
Requirements:
- Demonstrated cash flow forecasting and full balance sheet reconciliation
- Five-plus years progressive accounting experience
- CPA designation or advanced CPA PEP progress
- Canadian payroll and source deduction compliance experience preferred
- High attention to detail, discretion, and sound judgment
