As a Painter at Fairmont Hotels & Resorts, you will protect the aesthetic quality and integrity of the property. Your work includes painting walls, ceilings, doors, and trim, alongside drywall repairs, patching, taping, and sanding. This permanent position also includes finish-related preventative maintenance and safe handling of paint materials.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and paint hotel walls, ceilings, doors, and trim
- Complete drywall repairs, patching, taping, and sanding
- Maintain painted surfaces throughout the hotel
- Perform preventative maintenance on finishes and coatings
- Follow PPE, ventilation, and paint-handling safety protocols
Requirements:
- Alberta Painter and Decorator Journeyperson certification is an asset
- Required hand tools under Letter of Agreement B Local 4325A
- Valid Class 5 Alberta driver's licence and clean abstract
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work at heights
- Legal authorization to work in Canada
