ABB Canada seeks a Strategic Buyer skilled in supplier relationship management and commercial negotiations for its Quebec City hybrid workplace. Three weekly on-site days are required. Supporting ABB’s Automation, Measurement & Analytics division, this Strategic Buyer manages suppliers and procurement categories. The work includes commercial agreements, supplier performance, cost structures, sourcing processes, risk mitigation, and continuous improvement. The position reports to the Supply Chain Manager and works with internal stakeholders and global suppliers. Key Responsibilities:
Build relationships with strategic suppliers and assess capabilities Negotiate favorable pricing, terms, contracts, and commercial conditions Monitor agreements and ensure procurement policy compliance Implement supplier improvement plans and alternative sourcing solutions Collaborate with engineering, quality, finance, and production teams Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, procurement, business, or related field Experience in purchasing, procurement, or supplier management Experience with sourcing processes, RFQs, RFPs, and cost analysis Strong Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office proficiency Strong negotiation, communication, and commercial decision-making skills Apply supplier relationship expertise, commercial judgment, and cross-functional collaboration to strategic procurement at ABB Canada.
