Manage international airfreight shipments at Maersk’s Zurich station, using operational judgement and customer coordination in an international environment. As an Air Freight Operations Associate, you handle import and export shipments from booking through completion. You own operational files, coordinate with customers, carriers, handling agents, customs partners, and Maersk colleagues. Your work supports reliable execution, issue resolution, compliance, and customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage airfreight import and export shipments independently
- Maintain documentation, milestones, costs, invoicing, and financial accuracy
- Coordinate customers, carriers, agents, customs partners, and colleagues
- Resolve exceptions and communicate operational issues proactively
- Ensure customs, security, and dangerous-goods compliance
Requirements:
- Completed commercial apprenticeship in logistics or comparable field
- Practical airfreight operations experience
- Understanding of import and export processes
- Independent prioritization and sound operational decision-making
- Fluent German and English; French advantageous
