15Rock is a Toronto-based, venture-backed AI financial intelligence platform. We produce diligence-grade analytical reports β market sizing, competitive intelligence, valuation analysis, and commercial diligence β for institutional clients including advisory firms, asset managers, and private equity. Our multi-agent AI architecture, combined with senior financial domain expertise, delivers work at a depth and speed traditional research cannot match.
The Principal owns the outcome end-to-end. You will qualify each opportunity for the right motion β platform adoption for clients who can self-serve recurring analytical work, or directed custom delivery routed through our Delivery Manager for higher-touch institutional engagements β scope the engagement, pressure-test work before it ships, and convert each successful project into the next. Our platform turns standard analytical reports in 48 hours or less; larger institutional mandates are scoped on a custom timeline. The constraint is qualified demand, and your job is to generate and convert it.
While this is not a traditional software sales role, it is a commercially accountable role: you will be measured by the growth, repeatability, quality, and profitability of your assigned client relationships. This role is well-suited to someone who has owned partner-level relationships inside a Big 4 firm, tier-one strategy consultancy, transaction advisory practice, or financial services strategy team.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary relationship owner for senior partners and decision-makers across assigned institutional accounts.
- Translate client questions into structured engagement briefs, including report type, analytical depth, timeline, data requirements, pricing, and success criteria.
- Qualify each opportunity for the right delivery motion β platform adoption for recurring self-serve use, or directed custom delivery for higher-touch institutional engagements β and route accordingly.
- Own end-to-end engagement outcomes; partner with the Delivery Manager who runs day-to-day coordination across research, engineering, and QC.
- Review draft reports for structure, analytical rigor, narrative integrity, and partner-readiness before delivery.
- Manage scope boundaries, change requests, escalations, pricing tradeoffs, and delivery economics across the engagement lifecycle.
- Grow assigned accounts by converting initial engagements into repeat work and expanding into adjacent buying centers within the same firm.
- Maintain a clear account portfolio and forecast expected engagement volume to the Head of Client Delivery & Growth.
- Contribute to the productization of recurring engagement patterns, turning bespoke work into repeatable report frameworks.
- Represent 15Rock in senior partner-facing meetings, including on-site engagements as required.
What Success Looks Like
- Within 30 days: You have mapped your assigned accounts, understood the platform vs. custom delivery motion for each, built an initial account plan, and scoped at least one live or near-term opportunity.
- Within 90 days: You are revenue-productive. Multiple engagements shipped, at least one expansion within an anchor account, and clear pipeline visibility for the following quarter.
- Within 6 months: You are consistently progressing against quarterly revenue and expansion targets across both motions, with at least one client institutionalized on the platform and a steady cadence of custom work routed through delivery.
- Within 12 months: You have grown a meaningful book of repeat institutional accounts, contributed to productization of recurring engagement patterns, and become a trusted senior proxy in partner-level conversations.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years in management consulting, transaction advisory, financial services strategy, private equity value creation, corporate strategy, or a comparable senior client-facing role.
- Demonstrated track record of growing senior client relationships, including expanding from one stakeholder or buying center into several within the same firm.
- Strong financial and analytical fluency. Able to engage credibly on valuation, market sizing, competitive intelligence, and commercial diligence without deferring to a specialist.
- Excellent written and structured-thinking skills. Communicates in Pyramid Principle and can rebuild a weak analytical narrative before a partner ever sees it.
- High judgment on scope, pricing, escalation, and partner communication, with limited oversight.
- Strong bias to delivery. Comfortable operating against compressed timelines and partner-set deadlines.
- Comfortable operating in an early-stage environment without the infrastructure of a mature consulting firm.
- Eligible to work in Canada and able to work out of our downtown Toronto office (Bay Street).
Preferred Qualifications
- Big 4 or tier-one strategy consultancy tenure with an active senior network.
- Prior experience inside a seed- or Series Aβstage company.
- CFA, CPA, MBA, or equivalent credentials.
