Plan resident activation programs at Extendicare while monitoring participation, behavior, and condition during full-time programming. Support individual and group activities.
This full-time position develops and revises activation programs based on assessed resident needs. Work under Supervisor guidance while supporting residents in long-term care. Responsibilities include activity setup, transportation, observation, documentation, and communication with registered staff. Extendicare provides care and services for seniors across Canada.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan individual and group activation programs based on assessed needs
- Implement and evaluate resident activation programs under Supervisor guidance
- Set up and clean activity areas as necessary
- Transport residents to and from scheduled programs
- Monitor residents and report significant changes appropriately
Requirements:
- Ability to develop and revise activation programs
- Ability to assess resident needs for programming
- Ability to monitor resident behavior and condition
- Ability to maintain program and resident records
- Ability to communicate participation to registered staff
