Deliver clinical skills education across Northern Ontario as an Extendicare Clinical Educator, combining onsite teaching with administrative responsibilities.
This full-time hybrid position serves assigned Long-Term Care homes, with approximately 80% of work onsite. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Clinical Education, you will provide onboarding, simulation, coaching, and competency development. The role supports standardized, evidence-informed education, resident safety, and person-centred care. Regular regional travel is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver onboarding, transition, and ongoing clinical skills education
- Facilitate skills labs, simulation, coaching, and virtual learning
- Assess competencies through demonstrations and clinical judgment activities
- Develop lesson plans, guides, resources, and assessment tools
- Track participation, completion, feedback, and education outcomes
Requirements:
- Registered Nurse or Registered Practical Nurse in good standing
- Three to five years of clinical nursing experience
- Experience delivering education and developing competencies
- Current BCLS or CPR certification
- Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle access
