The Medical Assistant-Certified supports providers as a key member of the care team. Responsibilities include patient intake, clinical quality measures, referrals, procedures, and documentation. Sea Mar serves diverse communities through its Washington State health centers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Room patients and obtain histories and vital signs
- Document clinical quality measures in the EHR
- Assist providers with examinations, procedures, and charting
- Administer medications and immunizations according to protocol
- Coordinate laboratories, referrals, and specialty care
Requirements:
- Graduate from an approved Medical Assistant program
- Current MA-C license or interim status with certification
- BLS or CPR certification required within ninety days
- Ambulatory care experience preferred
- Bilingual English and Spanish strongly preferred
